I come from an art background so please don't crucify me!
I ended up with CI and grocery because I can use it with no install, now I am figuring it out. I got the install working, I did the tutorials and now I am stuck when trying to make something new. It seems like the tutorials pull from example.php but never really cover that file. Is there anywhere that goes over starting from scratch?
my example DB would be:

title = varchar
type = int (maybe a drop box)
