the datatables theme is great for me because of the search box in each column. but it would be even better if it did not cause the browser to prompt for flash install. is there a way to disable flash so the prompt does not occur? flash does not seem to be essential to any function of that theme, so far as i have discovered yet.

Does it really? Are you sure it is required by the datatables theme?

Check here: http://www.datatables.net/usage/

if i use the datatables theme then firefox says flash is needed to render all the media on the page. this does not happen with the default theme.

Aaaaa! Yes! Export does use flash to generate the output.

Completely forgot this.

ok--my use case does not require export so i can just unset it as a workaround.
